MODERN SLAVERY & HUMAN TRAFFICKING POLICY
MODERN SLAVERY & HUMAN TRAFFICKING POLICY
At Intelligent Environment Security Ltd (iES Security), we are committed to conducting our business ethically and with integrity. We are fully dedicated to preventing
modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation in all its forms throughout our operations and supply chains.
This policy outlines our approach to ensuring compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and reflects our commitment to upholding human rights.
1. Our Commitment
iES Security recognises its responsibility to uphold the highest ethical standards in all our business dealings. We are committed to ensuring that:
Modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our organisation or supply chains.
Our recruitment processes and employment practices are transparent, ethical, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
We work only with suppliers, contractors, and business partners who share our commitment to eradicating modern slavery.
2. Scope of Policy
This policy applies to all employees, officers, directors, contractors, and third-party suppliers working on behalf of iES Security, regardless of location. It covers all aspects of our business, including:
Direct Employment: Ensuring fair recruitment and employment practices.
Supply Chain: Monitoring and vetting our suppliers to prevent exploitation or forced labour.
Contracted Services: Ensuring subcontractors comply with our anti-slavery standards.
3. Due Diligence Processes
To mitigate the risks of modern slavery, iES Security has implemented the following due diligence measures:
3:1. Supplier Vetting
We conduct a thorough risk assessment of all new and existing suppliers, ensuring they comply with the Modern Slavery Act and share our values.
3:2. Audits and Monitoring
Regular audits and inspections are conducted to ensure compliance with this policy, with a focus on high-risk suppliers or regions.
3:3. Employee Awareness and Training
All employees are trained on how to identify signs of modern slavery and report concerns. This includes recognising indicators of forced labour, human trafficking, and
unethical recruitment practices.
3:4. Contracts and Agreements
Our supplier and contractor agreements include clauses requiring compliance with anti-slavery laws. Non-compliance may result in termination of contracts.
3:5. Reporting Concerns
We encourage all employees, suppliers, and stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions regarding modern slavery or human trafficking. Reports can be made
anonymously and in confidence via:
Email: hr@ies-security.com
Phone: 03333055328
In Person: Directly to your line manager or the HR department.
iES Security will investigate all reports thoroughly and take appropriate action where necessary. We are committed to protecting whistleblowers from retaliation in line
with our Whistleblowing Policy.
3:6. Risk Assessment and Management
We recognise that certain sectors and regions pose a higher risk of modern slavery. To manage this, we:
Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains.
Mitigate identified risks through improved supplier engagement and monitoring.
Continuously review and improve our policies and practices to combat modern slavery.
3:7. Performance Indicators
To measure the effectiveness of our modern slavery prevention efforts, we track key performance indicators (KPIs), including:
Number of suppliers audited annually.
Number of staff trained on modern slavery awareness.
Reports or incidents of non-compliance and the corrective actions taken.
3:8. Responsibility for the Policy
The overall responsibility for ensuring this policy’s effectiveness lies with the Managing Director, supported by the HR Department and the Compliance Team. All department heads are responsible for implementing this policy within their areas of responsibility.
3:9. Review of Policy
This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure its continued effectiveness and relevance. Any updates will be communicated to all employees and business partners.
